Sharing great food and with friends and family is what our Kemptown Kitchen is all about, just as it is back home in India. Located in the heart of Brighton’s vibrant Kemp Town district, it serves up a range of freshly prepared street food, curries, chargrilled tandoor dishes and traditional Indian desserts in a light, airy open-plan kitchen/dining space that allows you to watch the chefs as they work. The kitchen is open from 1pm Wednesday to Sunday, and the food arrives at the table tapas-style (as soon as it's ready) rather than in a conventional 'starter and main' format. As at the original Lanes cafe in the Lanes, the menu changes with the seasons to keep things fresh for regular diners and there’s a wide selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes on offer.

Our Kemptown kitchen operates a takeaway service 1-9pm Wednesday to Sunday serving meals in biodegradable, compostable packaging that won’t clog up landfill. As at the original Curry Leaf Cafe in Brighton Lanes (currently closed), the menu changes with the seasons to keep things fresh for regular diners and there’s a wide selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes on offer.

You can have hot food and a range of craft beers and wines delivered to your door via the Deliveroo app/website, or earn 10% off by ordering via our convenient Click & Collect service for collection from the restaurant (enter code ONLINE10 during checkout). NB: Strict social distancing measures are in place during collection to ensure the safety of both customers are staff.

RESERVATIONS

A limited number of tables at our Kemptown Kitchen are available to book online (use button above)– the remaining spaces are kept open for walk-ins and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Should the restaurant be full, diners can join our waitlist, take a drink at our bar or a nearby pub and be notified by text message when their table is ready.
